MalazanEmpire aveva dato la notizia praticamente in contemporanea con l'annuncio di Erikson; e sul web si erano scatenate una selva di voci e speculazioni più o meno vere...
Adesso pare che si abbiano notizie più certe su questo nuovo straordinario progetto.
I libri saranno sei, divisi in due trilogie.
La prima sarà la
trilogia di Kharkanas (dal nome della città Andii di cui si parla in
CG) ed il romanzo d'esordio sarà
"The Forge of Darkness",
la forgia dell'oscurità, ambientato fra il mondo di Malaz ed il Kurald Galain parecchi millenni prima degli avvenimenti descritti in
GotM.

Lo scisma, la presa di posizione del più figo tra gli ascendenti, la fuga/esilio dei Tiste Andii nell'universo Malaz, L'accordo Silchas/Scabandari, lo scontro con gli Edur e le prime avventure di Rake & Co...
Insomma c'è da sbizzarrirsi con un così ampio materiale.
Naturalmente per il momento solo il titolo del libro appare certo, la data di pubblicazione è prevista per il 2012 (se ci saremo ancora) ma non è stata confermata e su Amazon il libro non è presente.
Le informazioni in rete sono scarne ed il libro resta avvolto dal mistero.

This trilogy takes us back to before the Tiste diaspora, and involves the eponymous peoples, along with a few others you know well, or think you know well, not as well as you think, as I think you'll see.
Just realized that, since the Kharkanas triology is first, we won't get to witness the completion of Karsa's tale for quite a few years. But hell, why am I even complaining. Rake, Ruin, Andarist, Draconus, perhaps the forging of Dragnipur, confrontations with Osseric (possibly...depending on how far the trilogy goes; I'd love to see the two giants butting heads, though, as we've often heard about).
